Week 9: 4-10 September

From the end of this week, I have six weeks remaining to finish off this project and assignment so I wanted to gather the remainder of the supplies I needed for the screen printing process. As mentioned, I have already acquired a screen printing kit which included paints, a squeegee, and a screen but I still needed to acquire additional screens, the photo emulsion kit and some shirts.

Above is what I ended up with by the end of the week:

• I found twelve T-shirts in various colours in a loose crew neck style that I was looking for

• Six 30x40 screens (I wanted to buy extra in case mistakes were made)

• The screen printing kit which included the squeegee the paint

• Photo emulsion, sensitiser, and remover

I have also spent the week watching various screen printing videos and tutorials on YouTube and I feel fairly confident in taking this process on myself. From here I just need to print my three back designs and three front designs onto transparent paper so that it can be burned onto the screen ready for use.
