Bits & Pieces

MID-SEMESTER BREAK

Most of this project is sort of at a stand-still until I can get the shirts screen-printed, but I used the two-week break as an opportunity to completely finalise everything I currently have for this project.

Firstly I worked on creating a lino-cut stamp of the Positivi-Tees logo that can be stamped inside the shirt. This addition is something I planned back in semester 1 but completely forgot about until just now and I think I will stamp these on the shirts before the screen-printing so it’s one less thing to do later on.

With the care card designs finalised several weeks ago, I still hadn’t gotten them printed, so this week I went to Officeworks and completed that task. Before I did send them for print, however, I had to finalise the AR designs so that I could add the final QR code and instructions for use. After the second lot of AR trials several weeks ago, I just went back in this week and spread the layers out a little more so they popped out more from the trigger image and one another. Below are the card fronts and card backs.

Additionally, I am able to get my screens burned with the help of another UniSQ tutor, so I dropped my screens and transparent designs off to Alistair this week so he can take them to the university. This has lifted such a weight off my shoulders as the screen-printing process was causing me a lot of anxiety and while I would have liked to of completed the entire printing process myself, I am thrilled to be getting assistance on my project, especially with only a couple of weeks to go before submission.
